Sources claim that the laptop can be introduced in a blue color variant instead of the traditional grey or silver color options seen in most business series laptops by the company. The upcoming HP Dragonfly laptops will be premium business laptops priced from Rs 2 lakh.

HP’s Share in the Indian PC Market in Q1 2023

In the first quarter (Q1) of 2023, from January to March, HP led the Indian PC market because of its extended range of laptops across different budget ranges. According to IDC, this leading laptop brand enjoyed around 33.8% market share in Q1-23, registering a strong presence in both customer and commercial segments.

The report also underscores that the company shares in the first quarter reached 34.7% by obtaining some government and education orders; the strong demand in offline channels helped it garner a 32.6% share in the market.

Even being a leading player in the PC market, the vendor base of HP is being declined by 30.2% YoY, indicating the dropped demand for PCs across the country. The conventional PC market, which includes desktops, workstations, and notebooks, is being declined year to year, and shipping dropped to 2.99 million units.

According to data shared by IDC Worldwide Quarterly Personal Computing Device Tracker, the demand for PCs dropped by 30.1% in the first quarter of the year.
