The screen sharing feature will be accessed through a new icon in the call control view, allowing users to choose to share their screen during video calls. When screen sharing is enabled, the recipient will be able to see the actions performed on the user's screen.
The report emphasizes that users will have complete control over this feature. They can pause the screen sharing process at any time. Additionally, the feature will only work if the user consents to it and allows the sharing of their screen content.
In addition to the screen sharing feature, the recent WhatsApp beta update (2.23.11.19) for Android brings a slight change to the layout of the bottom navigation bar. The order of the tabs in the navigation bar has been rearranged to Chat, Call, Community, and Status. This modification aims to provide users with easier access to the chat, call, community, and status features.
