Huawei has launched the 2026 MateBook Fold Extraordinary Master Edition in China. The new foldable laptop features the upgraded Kirin X90 Plus chipset and offers up to 32GB of RAM and 2TB of storage. Most hardware specifications remain unchanged from the previous model, but Huawei has updated the design for this release.

Key Features and Specifications

The 2026 MateBook Fold Extraordinary Master Edition retains the 18-inch dual-layer LTPO OLED foldable display. The screen delivers a resolution of 3,296 x 2,472 pixels and uses a 4:3 aspect ratio. When folded, the device has the footprint of a 13-inch laptop, with a resolution of 2,472 x 1,648 pixels and a 3:2 aspect ratio.

The laptop includes an 8MP front-facing camera. It uses a zirconium-based liquid metal hinge that supports multiple viewing angles. A built-in pop-out kickstand on the rear provides additional flexibility for users. The device runs HarmonyOS 6.1 and features several AI-powered capabilities.

The battery capacity remains at 74.69Wh, the same as the previous generation. Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and satellite communication. The laptop is equipped with a six-speaker system and four microphones for enhanced audio and voice input.

Design, Pricing, and Availability

The 2026 MateBook Fold Extraordinary Master Edition is available in three finishes: Phantom Black, Radiant Gold, and Sky White. All models feature a vegan leather-finish rear panel. Pricing starts at CNY 24,999 (about $3,700) for the 24GB RAM and 512GB storage variant. The 24GB RAM and 1TB storage model costs CNY 26,999 (about $4,000), while the top-tier 32GB RAM and 2TB storage version is priced at CNY 29,999 (about $4,445).

The laptop is already available for purchase through Huawei's official online store in China. Huawei first introduced its foldable laptop series in May last year, with this latest model offering a refreshed design and upgraded chipset while maintaining most core hardware features.
