Microsoft is introducing Android 13 support in beta for its Windows System for Android (WSA) for Windows 11 operating system. Microsoft released the information via a GitHub post. “Today we are shipping an update for Windows Subsystem for Android on Windows 11 to members of the Windows Subsystem for Android Preview Program. This update (2211.40000.7.0) will update WSA to Android 13 and includes general reliability and performance fixes", Microsoft said in a post.
An Android emulator called Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA) was made available and is based on the Android 12 operating system. Users of Windows 11 will be able to run Android applications on their laptops and desktop computers thanks to the most recent upgrade. Please be aware that it is presently being tested by Windows Subsystem for Android Preview Program participants in the beta channel. According to an Android Police article, a Windows Insider is required to run the stable WSA version, and a WSA Preview member is required to run the most recent Android 13 beta.
Amazon and Microsoft have teamed up to make the Amazon App Store available on WSA. Microsoft claims that the 2211.40000.7.0 update delivers nine significant enhancements in addition to support for Android 12 on Windows 11. The changes are as follows
