Motorola is preparing to expand its Edge 70 series in India with the upcoming Edge 70 Pro+. The company has teased the new smartphone through its official Indian social media channels. The Edge 70 Pro+ will join the existing four models in the Edge 70 lineup.
The teaser shared by Motorola India shows the Edge 70 Pro+ with a design matching the global Edge 70 Pro's Pantone Zinfandel variant. The text around the camera flash is also identical to the global version, indicating similar hardware features.
The global Edge 70 Pro includes wireless charging and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera. This camera offers 3.5x optical zoom, 50X "Super Zoom Pro," optical image stabilization (OIS), and an 81mm equivalent focal length. In contrast, the standard Edge 70 Pro does not have wireless charging or a telephoto camera.
Motorola has not directly named the Edge 70 Pro+ in its social media teasers. However, Indian online retailer Flipkart has created a promotional page for the smartphone. The URL of the page confirms the Edge 70 Pro+ name, and the listing provides additional details about the device.
According to Flipkart, the Edge 70 Pro+ will support portrait photography at an 85mm focal length. The device will be available in three finishes: satin-luxe, twill-inspired, and sculpted wood. These options offer users a range of textures and styles.
Motorola and Flipkart are expected to reveal more information about the Edge 70 Pro+ as the launch date approaches. The company has not yet announced the official release date or full specifications for the Indian market.
The Edge 70 series already includes four smartphones, and the addition of the Edge 70 Pro+ will further expand Motorola's offerings in India. The new model is expected to attract attention for its enhanced camera features and unique design finishes.
