Oppo has announced the official launch date for its Reno16 smartphone series. The company will unveil the Reno16, Reno16 Pro, Pad 6 tablet, Enco Air 5s earbuds, and a new accessory called Oppo Bubble on May 25 in China. Pre-reservations for all devices are now open on Oppo’s official online store.
The Oppo Reno16 series will feature a 200MP triple rear camera setup. The Reno16 Pro will be available in Heartbeat, Dream Blue, and Moonlit Black color options. Storage and memory configurations for the Pro model include 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, and 16GB/512GB. The standard Reno16 will be offered in Heartbeat, Moonlit Black, and Galaxy Purple shades. Its configurations include 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, 16GB/256GB, 16GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB.
Oppo has also revealed some hardware specifications. The Reno16 Pro is expected to feature a 6.78-inch LTPO display, the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset, and a 7,000mAh battery. The standard Reno16 will have a 6.31-inch screen and use the Dimensity 8500 SoC.
Oppo will introduce a new accessory called the Bubble for the Reno16 series. The Bubble attaches to the back of the phone and includes a circular display. This rear-facing screen is likely to serve as a viewfinder, allowing users to frame selfies using the main rear cameras. The Bubble may also be compatible with other phones that support magnetic attachments.
The Oppo Pad 6 tablet will debut with a 3K resolution display, a 10,420mAh battery, and the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s processor. Oppo has shared images and key specifications for the Pad 6 ahead of the launch.
The Oppo Enco Air 5s wireless earbuds will also launch on May 25. The earbuds will offer up to 48 hours of total battery life with the charging case. They will feature a semi-in-ear design. Oppo has not yet disclosed further technical details for the Enco Air 5s.
All new Oppo devices, including the Reno16 series, Pad 6, Enco Air 5s, and Bubble accessory, will be available for pre-reservation in China. The official launch event is scheduled for May 25. More details about pricing and international availability are expected at the launch event.
