Pros and Cons
What we liked
- Eco-friendly structural back cover built out of recycled plastics.
- Superb user-friendly design focus enables instant components swap.
- Generous internal power cell easily tracks past standard working hours.
- Fluid 90Hz smooth panel operation avoids typical stutter blocks.
What we didn't
- Unisoc processing chip restricts high graphic execution speeds.
- Missing fast multi-band 5G cellular communication capabilities.
- Indoor camera exposures struggle mapping clean edge shadow detail.
Expert Conclusion
The Nokia G22's defining feature isn't raw performance, it's repairability. Developed with iFixit, this phone let owners replace the battery, screen or charging port themselves using basic tools and official guides, a rare commitment to longevity in a budget device. Beyond that idea, the hardware is competent rather than exciting: a 6.5-inch HD IPS display at 90Hz handles browsing smoothly, and a 50MP main camera with supporting lenses captures reasonable daylight shots. Unisoc T606 silicon with 4GB RAM suits light use rather than heavy multitasking. A 5050mAh battery with 20W charging comfortably lasts a full day. At its ₹21,000 launch price this felt pricey, and it has since been discontinued in India, so confirm current availability.
