During the meeting, discussions revolved around the Tata group's extensive plans for electronics manufacturing and explored potential short-term and long-term partnerships with Apple. However, there is some uncertainty surrounding Wistron's ability to complete its manufacturing obligations at the Bengaluru plant. Sources indicate that Wistron intends to terminate its partnership with Apple in India and shift its focus to other business ventures. It is speculated that Wistron will not continue its collaboration with Apple in India but will instead work with another company. Reports also suggest that Tata group executives are already involved in the operations at the Wistron plant.
The Tata group is reportedly planning to manufacture certain models of the upcoming iPhone 15 series in India. It is anticipated that the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, scheduled for release in September this year, could be produced in India.
