HMD has officially launched the Vibe 2 5G smartphone in India. This device succeeds the HMD Vibe, which was introduced in September 2025. The new model brings several upgrades, including a larger battery and improved display features.

The HMD Vibe 2 5G features a 6.75-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Unisoc T8200 chipset. Users can choose configurations with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The phone also supports storage expansion up to 1TB via a microSD card slot.

For photography, the Vibe 2 5G offers a 50MP primary rear camera. There is also an auxiliary lens, though its details have not been disclosed. The front-facing camera has an 8MP sensor for selfies and video calls.

The device is equipped with a 6,000mAh battery. However, it supports only 18W wired charging. The phone runs Android 16 out-of-the-box and will receive two years of security updates from HMD.

Additional Features and Pricing

The Vibe 2 5G includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security. It retains a 3.5mm headphone jack and has an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance. Connectivity options include 5G, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and USB Type-C.

HMD offers the Vibe 2 5G in three color options: Cosmic Lavender, Nordic Blue, and Peach Pink. The base model with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage is priced at INR 10,999 (approximately $115). The 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant costs INR 11,999 (about $125).

The Vibe 2 5G will be available for purchase on Flipkart starting May 26.
