OnePlus has increased the prices of its Nord 6 smartphone in India. The entry-level model now costs INR 41,999 ($434), while the top variant is priced at INR 46,999 ($486). The price hike affects both the 8GB RAM and 12GB RAM versions, which previously launched in early April at lower prices.
At launch, the OnePlus Nord 6 was available for INR 38,999 ($403) with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model was priced at INR 41,999 ($434). Now, the 8GB RAM variant costs INR 41,999 ($434), and the 12GB RAM version is INR 46,999 ($486).
The company has not provided an official explanation for the price increase. However, industry observers suggest that rising component costs, particularly for memory, may have influenced the decision.
Despite the price hike, OnePlus continues to offer an instant discount of up to INR 2,000 ($20) on EMI transactions. This offer is available to customers using select banks. The discount helps offset the increased prices for some buyers.
OnePlus Nord 6 entered the Indian market in early April. The device was initially positioned as a competitive option in the mid-range segment. The price revision brings the Nord 6 closer in cost to some higher-end smartphones.
Price adjustments in the smartphone market often reflect changes in supply chain costs. In recent months, memory and other key components have seen price increases globally. This trend may have contributed to the revised pricing for the Nord 6.
Customers planning to purchase the OnePlus Nord 6 will now need to pay more than at launch. The instant discount on EMI transactions provides some relief, but the overall cost is higher for both variants. The company has not indicated if further price changes are expected.
