vivo is preparing to launch its new S2 smartphone in India soon. While the company has not confirmed the exact release date, vivo's Indian division has stated that the device is "coming soon." The official Indian website now features a teaser page, offering a first look at the S2's design and some of its key features.
The vivo S2's design closely resembles previous models from the brand. However, unlike some earlier versions, the S2 does not include ZEISS camera optimizations. Instead, it features a dual-camera setup on the back, replacing the triple-camera system seen in other vivo smartphones. The rear cameras are rumored to include a 50MP primary sensor from Sony and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens. On the front, the S2 is expected to offer a 32MP selfie camera capable of 4K video recording.
The vivo S2 is rumored to come with a 6.59-inch curved OLED display, supporting a 120Hz refresh rate and 1.5K resolution. The device will likely offer 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. A standout feature is its 7,000mAh battery, which supports 80W fast charging. The S2 is also expected to include an in-display fingerprint scanner for added security.
vivo has described the S2 as having a flagship-inspired design, strong performance, and advanced photography and videography capabilities. The company also promises an immersive audio-visual experience. More details about the smartphone's specifications and features will be revealed by vivo in the coming days as the launch approaches.
