Apple is ready to launch its new iPhone lineup, the iPhone 17 series. According to industry reports, Apple can launch its iPhone 17 smartphone lineup in September 2025. Apple has already confirmed that it will launch four models as part of the iPhone 17 series, including iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max.
Before the official launch and specification details, a new leak about the upcoming iPhone 17 has surfaced online. It states that the iPhone 17 smartphones will have Apple’s A19 chipset, replacing the A18 chip offered in the iPhone 16.
A revised supply chain insight from analyst Jeff Pu, Apple iPhone 17 is likely to feature an upgraded chipset, possibly the successor of Apple’s current A-series Bionic chips. Jeff Pu also stated that the iPhone 17 will pack an A19 chipset. However, previously the rumors were that the Apple iPhone 17 to have the same A18 chipset offered in iPhone 16.
Along with an upgraded chipset, the handset will come equipped with 8GB of RAM as offered in the iPhone 16. The higher spec models, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max, will have 12GB of RAM. These higher-end variants can feature the faster LPDDR5X memory for smoother multitasking and enhanced support for Apple Intelligence features.
Based on available information, the iPhone 17 series could also get a custom Wi-Fi 7 chip, a 6.3-inch OLED display, and a 48-megapixel dual rear camera setup with an upgraded 24-megapixel selfie shooter.
The iPhone 17 series, including the new iPhone 17 Air, is expected to launch globally between September 8 and 12, following Apple’s trend of early fall unveilings.
