Asus has launched the ROG Phone 7 series in India, consisting of two models aimed at different price ranges. The latest gaming phones are equipped with Qualcomm's latest high-end processor, better cooling mechanisms, and speakers that are claimed to be 50% louder than their previous models. The display specifications and battery capacity remain unchanged. Here's all the information you need to know about Asus' newest gaming phones.
Asus has released the ROG Phone 7 in India at a cost of Rs 74,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage variant. Additionally, the ROG Phone 7 Ultimate, which comes with a 16GB RAM and 512GB internal storage configuration, will be available for Rs 99,999. These devices will be sold through Asus India's online stores, selected Asus exclusive stores, select ROG stores, Vijay sales online, and offline outlets.
The Asus ROG Phone 7 and its Ultimate variant come with a 6.78-inch OLED screen that has a maximum brightness of 1,500 nits and refreshes at a rate of 165Hz. The device is equipped with a 6,000mAh battery that supports 65W charging, but only a 33W charger is included in the retail box. The smartphones feature a triple camera system on the back, comprising a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 5-megapixel macro camera. They are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which is a high-end processor.
The Ultimate variant of the Asus ROG Phone 7 is more expensive than the standard version, but it comes with the AeroActive Cooler 7 accessory, which can be attached to the phone for an enhanced gaming experience. This accessory has an AeroActive Portal that allows air to pass over the phone's vapour chamber cooling fins to dissipate heat, resulting in 20 percent additional thermal efficiency.
Additionally, it has a subwoofer that can deliver 77 percent more bass volume and four physical buttons to give users a controller-like experience. The accessory also has RGB lighting and the device is IP54 rated for dust and water resistance. Interestingly, the phone also has a 3.5mm headphone jack, which is not common in many flagship phones. Those who opt for the standard version will need to purchase the gaming accessory separately at an additional cost.
