More images of the upcoming Google Pixel 7a have surfaced just days after the first ones leaked online. The Pixel 7a is the latest addition to Google's affordable Pixel 7 series and is the successor to the Pixel 6a. It is expected to be announced at Google's annual developer conference, Google I/O 2023, which will take place on May 10.
The new images, which were published exclusively by phonecompares.com, show that the Pixel 7a will have an identical design to the Pixel 7. The phone will bear model number GHL1X and will come with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM manufactured by Samsung and 128GB onboard storage capacity from SK Hynix/Micron.
In addition to the images released by phonecompares.com, another Thai platform called ZingNews has also published images of the Pixel 7a. These images show a USB Type-C port at the bottom of the phone and a single SIM slot. The Pixel 7a will feature the same wraparound camera module at the back as the Pixel 7. The images were of a test unit for programmers in Vietnam.
Tipster Debayan Roy (Gadgetsdata) has leaked information about the upcoming Google Pixel 7a. The phone will be powered by a Tensor G2 chipset, which is designed specifically for Google's Pixel 7 series. The Pixel 7a is also expected to feature LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.
The leak indicates that the Pixel 7a will have a 6.1-inch full HD+ OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, which is consistent with earlier rumours about the device's screen. The camera specifications were also revealed in the leak, showing that the Pixel 7a will have a dual rear camera system with a 64MP Sony IMX787 sensor and a 12MP ultrawide lens
