Jensen Huang Unveils New AI Chips, Foresees Robotic Future
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang showcased new AI processors in California, emphasizing the company's continual innovation and the rising relevance of robotics for the future. Nvidia has announced Blackwell processors, which provide faster processing speeds for training and inference activities and are expected to power next-generation computing systems for major data center operators including Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and Oracle.
Nvidia's forthcoming Blackwell chip, the GB200, is expected to provide increased performance and capabilities in response to the growing need for sophisticated computing solutions.

Despite difficulties in procuring current-generation "Hopper" H100s, CEO Jensen Huang emphasizes the importance of bigger GPUs. Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. will deploy 4NP technology to overcome manufacturing problems and assure consistent chip output.
Nvidia's Blackwell processor is poised to transform AI data processing and communication, providing more interoperability with other chips and higher processing capabilities. It is compatible with Nvidia's Grace CPU and works with InfiniBand or Ethernet protocols.
He intends to incorporate Blackwell's superior parallel processing technology into its HGX server machines, increasing its potential uses in AI activities such as speech recognition and video production and so broadening its technological capabilities.
Huang highlighted AI's significance in economic change, citing Nvidia's Blackwell chips as driving the industrial revolution and cooperating with global corporations to realise AI's full potential across sectors.
He announced Project Groot, a Blackwell-powered computer intended for humanoid robot manufacturers that would let them replicate human actions and grasp spoken language through observation, describing it as an exciting AI problem.
Huang showed the revolutionary potential of AI by showing two robots trained using Nvidia's simulation tools, anticipating a future when all moving objects would be robotic.
