During an earnings call, Apple CEO Tim Cook talked about the price plan for the new Apple Vision Pro, which costs $3,500 (about Rs 2.8 lakh). The goal was to answer any questions and offer insights into the high pricing.
Apple CEO Tim Cook highlighted the high cost of the Apple Vision Pro, citing the company's dedication to pushing the limits of cutting-edge technology and its impressive capabilities. The Apple Vision Pro boasts 5,000 patents and extraordinary scientific achievements.
During an earnings call, Cook justified the Apple Vision Pro's high price by showcasing its amazing features, which include two Apple Silicon CPUs and 600 new apps and games. He said that the device's extensive capabilities and deep content ecosystem make the high price point justified.
Years of advancement in silicon, screens, artificial intelligence, and machine learning have culminated in Apple's Vision Pro headset, which aims to transform the user experience by integrating digital content into users' physical environment.
Cook emphasised the deep technical integration—which includes silicon, displays, and machine learning—and the important role that artificial intelligence plays in Apple's Vision Pro. This demonstrates how well the gadget integrates technology, which helps to explain its expensive price.
Despite the expensive cost, Apple enthusiasts excitedly preordered about 2 lakh headsets on January 19; rumors have claimed that the business has already sold about 2 lakh headsets. Due to the headset's specialized nature, analysts expect that demand may decline.
Apple's CFO, Luca Maestri, said that although the Vision Pro hasn't been released in India yet, big businesses like Walmart and Nike are investigating its possible uses outside of entertainment.
