Anthropic has launched Claude Design, an AI tool that helps users create visual content with ease. The tool targets both professionals and beginners, allowing them to turn ideas into polished designs without advanced design skills. Users can generate presentations, prototypes, and marketing materials by simply describing their requirements.

Key Highlights

  • Anthropic launches Claude Design for easy creation of visual content using AI
  • Users can generate presentations, prototypes, and marketing materials from text prompts or uploaded files
  • Claude Design supports team collaboration, design system setup, and integration with Canva

Key Features of Claude Design

Claude Design aims to remove common barriers in visual content creation. Designers often lack time to explore multiple ideas, while non-designers may find it hard to begin. The tool addresses these issues by enabling users to quickly generate a first draft and refine it through simple feedback and edits.

Users can start by entering a text prompt, uploading files, or pulling content from a website. Claude then produces an initial design. Users can further improve the output by providing feedback, editing text, or adjusting settings such as layout, colors, and spacing.

Claude Design can also build a design system for teams. During setup, it reads existing design files or code to understand a company’s style, including colors and fonts. This helps ensure all designs remain consistent with the brand’s identity.

Collaboration and Integration Options

Collaboration is a core feature of Claude Design. Teams can share designs within their organization and allow others to view or edit them. Once a design is finalized, it can be exported in formats like PDF, PPTX, or HTML, or shared via a link.

The tool is currently available in a research preview. It is being rolled out to users subscribed to Claude Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise plans. The feature is included within existing subscription limits, with options to extend usage if needed. For enterprise users, the tool is off by default and can be enabled by administrators in organization settings.

Claude Design also integrates with Canva. Users can export their designs from Claude Design to Canva for further editing. Canva announced the collaboration, stating that users can generate ideas in Claude and edit them in Canva without starting from scratch.

Availability and Access

Claude Design is gradually rolling out to eligible users. The tool is designed to streamline the design process, making it accessible for both teams and individuals. With built-in collaboration and integration features, it aims to simplify visual content creation across various industries.
