Beats 360 Headphones Launched in India at Rs 42,900

Apple has launched a new pair of over-ear headphones under its Beats brand. The Beats 360 headphones feature interchangeable ear and headband cushions, an IPX4 rating for sweat and water resistance, and up to 32 hours of battery life. The headphones are designed for commuting, work, training, and travel. In India, the Beats 360 are priced at Rs 42,900 and are available to order in four colours: Black, Cloud, Pink, and Sky. Retail availability begins September 24.

Key Features of Beats 360

The Beats 360 introduces an interchangeable cushion system. The headphones come with performance knit cushions for workouts. Separate UltraPlush engineered leather cushions are available for regular listening. Each cushion kit includes two ear cups and a headband, allowing users to change the headphones' look and feel. The headphones can detect the type of cushion in use and adjust audio tuning accordingly.

Additional cushion kits are available. Performance Knit options come in Black, Cloud, Pink, Sky, Navy, and Volt. UltraPlush kits are offered in Black and Cloud. Each kit costs Rs 6,900.

The Beats 360 are the brand's first over-ear headphones to carry an IP rating, with an IPX4 certification. This rating protects against water splashes and sweat, making them suitable for gym use. The performance knit cushions are designed to wick away moisture. Users can remove and clean the ear cups separately.

Audio Performance and Battery Life

Beats states the 360 headphones deliver its most advanced acoustic performance and noise cancellation to date. Features include Active Noise Cancellation, Transparency mode, Adaptive EQ, and personalised spatial audio with dynamic head tracking. Dolby Atmos support is also included. The new ANC system claims up to 1.75 times more total noise cancellation than the Beats Studio Pro.

The Beats 360 offers up to 32 hours of playback on a single charge. A five-minute USB-C charge provides up to one hour of listening time. The headphones use a fourth-generation Beats processing platform and Class 1 Bluetooth 5.3 for connectivity.

Compatibility and Accessories

​Appledevice users get features like one-touch pairing, iCloud pairing, automatic device switching, Audio Sharing, Find My, and hands-free Siri. Android users have access to Fast Pair, audio switching on supported devices, Find Hub, and a voice assistant via the play/pause button.

The headphones come with a woven soft-sided case and a replaceable battery. Beats has not yet provided details on the battery replacement process or pricing.
