Design

The Poco X6 Pro, priced at Rs. 26,999, features a plastic construction with a glossy back panel and flat frame, mimicking glass and metal. Its curved back and rounded edges add to its premium feel. The rear camera module houses three cameras and an LED flash, with Poco branding.

The Poco X6 Pro features a premium front design with narrow bezels and a broader chin. The front camera and earpiece have hole-punch cutouts, while the volume and power controls are located on the left side. It has an IP54 certification for dust and water protection, but not for submersion. The Redmi Note 13 has similar features at a reduced cost.

Specs and Software poco x6 ro (3).jpg

The Poco X6 Pro smartphone is equipped with a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra SoC, 12GB LPDDR5X RAM, and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. It supports dual 5G standby and includes a dual SIM tray, USB Type-C 2.0 connector, microphone, speaker, and IR blaster. It supports Bluetooth 5.4, dual-band Wi-Fi 6, NFC, and GPS.

The Poco X6 Pro features a assembled- in optic in- display fingerprint scanner at the bottom of the screen, which delivers swift and accurate performance. The 5,000 mAh battery lasts all day for moderate to heavy use, similar to gaming, photography, and videotape streaming. The 67W fast charger charges snappily, reaching 100 in 47 twinkles, which is close to the promised charging period of 45 twinkles.

The Poco X6 Pro is one of the first smartphones in India to be released with Xiaomi's new HyperOS user interface, which is based on Android 14. It includes HyperOS, a redesigned control center, lock screen customisation, AI object detection, hidden applications, fingerprint animations, the MiSans system typeface, a multi-window interface, big folders, and Game Turbo mode.

Poco claims three years of OS and four years of security upgrades, however certain pre-installed applications are not removable.

Performance

The Poco X6 Pro, powered by a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra processor, outperforms more costly handsets like the Oppo Reno 11 Pro and Redmi Note 13 Pro+. It performs well, with an overall score of 14,37,717 in AnTuTu and a single-core score of 1420 and 4404 in Geekbench 6. The phone is also great for gaming, with its WildBoost Optimisation 2.0 feature and 5,000mm square liquid vapor chamber for cooling.

The Poco X6 Pro is an outstanding performance smartphone with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display that supports 2160Hz touch sampling and 120Hz refresh rates. It has a 1.5K resolution and supports HDR 10+ and Dolby Vision, with a maximum brightness of 1,800 nits. The display supports 68 billion colors and has three pre-set color settings.

The two stereo speakers deliver clean, powerful sounds with minimum distortion. The gadget runs smoothly and controls heat effectively, making it an excellent choice for both regular usage and gaming.

Camera

The Poco X6 Pro has three cameras: a 64-megapixel main with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. It takes detailed photographs with good saturation levels but suffers in low light.

The camera can shoot 4K and 1080p films at 30 and 60 frames per second, respectively, but stabilization and dynamic range should be improved. The ultrawide camera performs well, although it may not match top-tier camera performance.

The Poco X6 Pro's Macro and Portrait modes might be enhanced, with the Macro mode getting respectable close-up images but not remarkable. Portrait mode issues with edge recognition, although the camera app lets you alter the depth. The 16-megapixel front camera is enough for selfies and video calls, taking 1080p movies at up to 30 fps.

The Poco X6 Pro has a user-friendly camera interface with 64-megapixel resolution for high-quality images and video recording at 120 fps in 1080p. Night mode optimizes low-light photographs, although the results may not be noticeably better. Despite the tough lighting circumstances, the phone takes detailed photographs with somewhat saturated colors in daylight.

Conclusion

The Poco X6 Pro is a strong mid-range smartphone priced belowRs. 30,000 that has stunning gaming performance, a gorgeous display, long battery life, and a good camera system. Despite some bloatware, the HyperOS offers a flawless user experience, beating challengers like the Oppo Reno 11 Pro and Redmi Note 13 Pro.
