Expert Review
7.3/10
Expert score
Design
6.8
A plain plastic build works fine day to day but lacks any official water resistance rating.
Display
8
The 120Hz Super AMOLED display looks genuinely vibrant and smooth for its budget price bracket.
Camera
6.9
The 50MP main camera captures reasonable daylight shots, with average results after dark.
Performance
6.3
Performance is adequate for everyday apps, though it is not a big leap over its predecessor.
Battery
8
A 5000mAh battery comfortably supports a full day of typical smartphone usage.
Value
7.6
A good display at a fair price, slightly let down by the missing IP rating.
Expert Conclusion
The Galaxy M36 5G brings a genuinely eye-catching Super AMOLED display to Samsung's budget M-series, making it stand out visually against typical LCD-equipped rivals in the same price range. Camera performance and battery life are solid without being exceptional, covering everyday photography and a full day's use comfortably. Some reviewers and community feedback have pointed out that the M36 skips an official IP rating, unlike some cheaper Samsung siblings, which feels like an odd omission for a phone in this segment. Performance gains over the outgoing M35 are incremental rather than dramatic. Still, for buyers chasing a colourful, fluid display on a budget, the M36 5G remains a reasonably attractive option.
