Oppo has raised prices across the Reno 16 lineup in India, with the Reno 16 now starting at ₹66,999. The hikes range from ₹1,000 to ₹5,000 depending on the model and variant. The phones launched in India in July, so the Reno 16 series has become more expensive within a few months of going on sale.
Model | Variant | Old price | New price |
Reno 16 | 8GB + 256GB | ₹61,999 | ₹66,999 |
Reno 16 | 12GB + 256GB | ₹67,999 | ₹72,999 |
Reno 16c | 8GB + 128GB | ₹46,999 | ₹49,999 |
Reno 16c | 8GB + 256GB | ₹49,999 | ₹53,999 |
Reno 16c | 12GB + 256GB | ₹55,999 | ₹59,999 |
The Reno 16, which runs a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip, got a flat ₹5,000 increase on both variants. The Reno 16c rose by ₹3,000 to ₹4,000. The A6s 5G and A6x 5G also got more expensive, by up to ₹3,000 and ₹2,000 respectively.
The hikes are linked to the ongoing global RAM shortage which is increasing the smartphone prices. Telecomtalk reports that other components and logistics have also become costlier. Oppo is not alone, as iQOO, Redmi and Vivo have all raised prices across segments.
At ₹66,999, the Reno 16 price increment is above the Xiaomi 17T, a similar camera-focused phone that currently sells for ₹64,999. At ₹49,999 the Reno 16c becomes one of the most expensive phones in India with a Dimensity 7300 chip, according to 91mobiles. Gizbot notes that the 12GB Reno 16 at ₹72,999 now sits close to Samsung’s Galaxy S26.
Prices can vary by retailer, and bank offers may soften the increase. Check the price on Oppo India’s website or your retailer before buying.
