Amazon has launched its first ever Android-based tablet series - the Alexa Tablet range, with three models: the Alexa Tablet 12 Pro, Alexa Tablet 11 and Alexa Tablet 8. All come with built-in AI features and the Google Play Store, moving away from Fire OS limits.
Alexa Tablet 12 Pro
The flagship has a 12-inch, 120Hz display with an optional Nanomatte finish to cut glare. It runs on a 4nm octa-core processor with up to 16GB RAM, quad Dolby Atmos speakers and Wi-Fi 6E and lasts up to 16 hours of video playback. The Pro Pen and Pro Keyboard are sold separately.
Alexa Tablet 11
Built for entertainment and everyday work, it has an 11-inch 2.5K, 90Hz display, 8GB RAM and dual Dolby Atmos speakers. Battery life goes up to 15 hours of video and in comes in colours like Graphite, Amethyst and Matcha.
Alexa Tablet 8
This is the most compact model that has an 8.7-inch display, weighs 329 grams and is 7.95mm thick. It supports Wi-Fi 6, offers up to 14 hours of video playback and comes in Graphite, Rosette and Teal.
Every tablet ships with Alexa Plus, which you can use by voice or the Ask Alexa button for answers and smart home control. A distraction-free reading mode blocks notifications and stretches battery life to up to 20 hours of reading.
The updated Kids Tablets come in 8.7-inch and 11-inch sizes packed with a case and a one-year Amazon Kids Plus subscription. New features include Storybuilder, which will allow the children to create illustrated stories by voice, and a redesigned Parent Dashboard with weekly activity insights.
