Apple products we can't wait to see in 2023

Although Apple's reputation primarily stems from its iPhones, iPads, and Macs, the company offers a range of additional products, including the Apple Watch, AirPods, Apple TV, and HomePod. In the near future, Apple is predicted to augment its lineup with the release of a VR headset, a new and upgraded iMac, and possibly even the unveiling of its first-ever super smartphone, the iPhone 15 Ultra.

These are the top upcoming products from Apple anticipated for release in 2023.

iPhone 15 Series

Apple is expected to release either four or five models in their upcoming iPhone 15 series. The baseline models are likely to be the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, while the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max are expected to be part of the series. However, there are reports that suggest the iPhone 15 Pro Max might be replaced with the iPhone 15 Ultra, but it is uncertain.

All variants of the iPhone 15 series will have the new Dynamic Island feature. The entry-level models, iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, will come with a 60Hz panel and will be powered by the A16 Bionic processor. On the other hand, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max/Ultra will feature a 120Hz display and Apple's A17 processor, which will be made using TSMC's 3nm process.

Additionally, all four models of the iPhone 15 series are expected to have a 48MP primary camera with a slightly modified design that includes a curved frame. Furthermore, the iPhone 15 Pro models might feature a titanium frame, making them the first iPhones to do so, along with a periscope zoom lens.

The iPhone 15 series is expected to launch in October 2023, and the base model could cost around Rs 80,000 in India.

Apple Mixed Reality headsets

It is rumored that Apple will introduce its initial VR headset, called RealityPro, along with rOS, in 2023. This is expected to be a standalone device and may feature two high-quality OLED screens. The RealityPro is expected to offer both augmented and virtual reality experiences concurrently. The pricing for the Apple RealityPro AR/VR headset is anticipated to be on the expensive side.

M2 powered Mac Pro and iMac

Apple is in the process of shifting from Intel processors to its own Apple Silicon in their Mac series, with the Mac Pro being the only product yet to receive the in-house processor. There are reports indicating that Apple will soon announce the first-ever Mac Pro powered by an M2 Ultra processor, having up to 24 CPU cores and 76 GPU cores. Unlike other Apple Silicon products, the company may allow external storage expansion for the upcoming Mac Pro.

It is expected that Apple will announce an improved version of the iMac this year, which could be fueled by the M2/M3 processor. The physical appearance of the new iMac is expected to be similar to the current model, with enhanced performance being the key distinguishing factor between the two.

15 inch MacBook Air

Apple may introduce its first-ever 15-inch MacBook Air, potentially during the upcoming WWDC 2023 developer conference. Although the overall appearance and design of the 15-inch MacBook Air may be similar to the M2-MacBook Air, it is expected to have the Apple Silicon M3 processor, and there is speculation that it may offer longer battery life than the 13-inch MacBook Air.

Similar to the current MacBook Air, the new version is anticipated to be available in various colours, and it could be one of the first mainstream 15-inch laptops with passive cooling.

Apple Watch Series 9

Although Apple may not reveal an Apple Watch Ultra follow-up, it is anticipated that they will present the Apple Watch Series 9 alongside the iPhone 15 lineup in October. The Apple Watch Series 9 is expected to receive a revamp in its design, as well as feature a new processor. It is also likely to have new health and fitness-oriented features similar to the Apple Watch Ultra.

Apple AirPods Max 2

The AirPods Max first edition was launched towards the end of 2020, but no significant updates have been released about the headphones since then. People are wondering if a new version of the AirPods Max will be introduced in 2023.

The main reason for the speculation about the release of the new AirPods Max is the AirPods Pro 2, which boasts advanced features such as Adaptive Transparency, IPX4 rating, and the U1 chipset that the original AirPods Max does not have.

Currently, the only credible rumors about the AirPods Max 2 suggest that it may have USB-C connectivity and be available in two variations. The first variation could be cheaper and aimed at a sports-oriented audience, while the second model may target premium consumers.

However, since there is little information available about the next generation of AirPods Max, it's best to take these rumors with a grain of salt. Nonetheless, it is reasonable to assume that the AirPods Max 2 will incorporate all the features of the AirPods Pro 2 and may even feature more advanced variations of the same technology.
