Apple Reports Record-Ever Revenue in India for September Quarter, Driven by iPhone and Mac Demand

Apple has reported its highest-ever revenue in India for the July–September quarter of fiscal 2026, driven by strong demand for iPhones, Mac computers and its Services business. The development highlights India's growing importance in Apple's global business.

According to the company's latest earnings call, CEO John Ternus confirmed that India achieved an all-time revenue record during the September quarter. The country also recorded its highest-ever number of iPhone upgraders for the quarter.

Key Highlights

  • Apple records its highest-ever revenue in India for the July–September 2026 quarter.

  • iPhone demand drives growth, with the highest-ever number of quarterly iPhone upgraders in India.

  • Apple's Mac business also achieves record September-quarter revenue in India.

  • Global iPhone revenue rises 17% to $57.6 billion, while Mac revenue grows 24% to $10.8 billion.

iPhone Upgrades Drive Apple's Growth in India

iPhone demand remained one of the biggest contributors to Apple's performance. The company recorded a September-quarter revenue of $57.6 billion from iPhone sales globally, marking a 17% year-on-year increase.

Apple also reported a record number of iPhone upgraders globally, with India among the key markets contributing to this growth. The increasing demand for premium smartphones and customers upgrading to newer models have supported the company's performance.

Mac and Services Businesses Also Set Records

Apart from iPhones, Apple's Mac and Services businesses achieved their highest-ever September-quarter revenue in India.

Mac revenue reached $10.8 billion globally, registering 24% year-on-year growth. Meanwhile, Apple's Services business generated $31.6 billion in global revenue, up 10% compared to the same quarter last year.

The company also highlighted the recent launch of Apple Pay in India through its partnership with Axis Bank, marking another step in expanding its services ecosystem in the country.

Apple's Growing Presence in India

The latest performance indicates that Apple is expanding its business in India beyond iPhone sales. Growing demand for Mac computers, services and newer iPhone models is helping the company strengthen its presence in the Indian market.

However, Apple has not disclosed its exact India revenue figures for the September quarter. The company has confirmed that the market achieved an all-time revenue record.
