The Galaxy S23 trio, according to a recent report by 9to5Google, would instead use a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 that has been tweaked and has a faster clock speed.
The news outlet asserts to have seen documentation indicating that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip used in the Galaxy S23 series of smartphones will be known as "Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform for Galaxy" and will have a clock speed of up to 3.36GHz instead of 3.2GHz (Prime core) on the regular Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (SM8550-AB) that we've seen on the iQOO 11.

The remaining features of this modified Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 are anticipated to be largely the same as those of the standard version, which includes the Prime core's maximum clock speed of 3.36GHz, four Performance cores with a maximum speed of 2.8GHz, and three Efficiency cores with a maximum speed of 2GHz.
Additionally, it is claimed that Samsung's foundry will produce the modified 4nm chip rather than TSMC. It's unclear, though, whether Samsung would make extensive use of the "Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform for Galaxy" branding or reserve it for the Unpacked presentation.
Samsung hasn't released information regarding the Galaxy S23 lineup's specifications just yet, but previous leaks haven't left much to the imagination.
