Nearby share Windows

When downloading the app, you will be prompted to sign in to your Google Account via your PC's browser, but it is possible to use the application without logging in. However, Google recommends using the same account on both your PC and Android phone if you decide to log in. Once signed in, you can select the avatar for your PC and change the visibility to make it visible to everyone, only your contacts, your own devices, or nobody at all.

After setting up the Nearby Share application, you can drop files to send to other devices or receive files from them. When you receive a file, you can choose to open or dismiss it. Google ensures that all Nearby Share transfers are protected by end-to-end encryption.

Currently, the Nearby Share beta is only available in the US and a few other regions, and file sharing is limited to Android smartphones, tablets, and Windows PCs. However, Google plans to expand support to other Google ecosystem devices soon.
