Google Launches Fitbit Air Fitness Tracker in India at Rs 13,999

Google has just brought the Fitbit Air to India, and it takes a very different approach from the usual smartwatch. And to peoples surprise it has no screen at all. Sales begin on October 2 and it's priced at Rs 13,999.

Health features it offers

• Heart rate around the clock, along with resting heart rate and heart rate variability (HRV).
• Irregular heart rhythm alerts for atrial fibrillation (AFib), plus blood oxygen (SpO2).
• Sleep duration and sleep stages allowing to monitor how your nights actually go.
• Automatic detection of common activities, so you don't have to hit "start" before every workout (you can also log workouts in the app)

It also works with Google Health Coach, which will use buyers sensor data to give personalised guidance according to your health and nudge you towards better habits. Consumers can log exercise automatically or just snap a photo of your gym equipment or routine.

Battery and comfort

Google says buyers will get up to seven days of use on a single charge. If you forget to charge it, even a five minutes of charging can make it last for whole day. The screenless design also makes it more comfortable to wear overnight, which help the buyers sleep comfortably

Design and colours

The tracker is a small, interchangeable pebble that can sit in different bands. The Performance Loop Band comes in the box. It's lightweight, breathable, easy for man handling and made from recycled materials. Buyers who are looking for something distinctive  they can buy the Active Band (sweatproof silicone for tough workouts) or the Elevated Modern Band (for everyday wear). The Fitbit Air comes in four colours: Obsidian, Berry, Lavender and Fog.
