The HMD Skyline 2 is reportedly in development, two years after the original model's launch. Reliable sources indicate that the new device will not feature major hardware upgrades compared to its predecessor. The Skyline 2 will be available in blue, black, and yellow, and its design will closely resemble the original version.
The Skyline 2 will use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC. Buyers can choose between 8GB or 12GB of RAM. The device will offer 256GB of storage, which users can expand as needed. The OLED screen will support a 144Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals and will reach a peak brightness of 2,000 nits.
The battery will support 40W wired charging, allowing for faster power-ups. The Skyline 2 will also retain built-in magnets to enable wireless charging, continuing a feature from the previous model.
The rear camera system will include a 108MP main camera with optical image stabilization. It will also feature a 50MP telephoto camera and a 50MP ultrawide camera. For selfies and video calls, the front camera will offer a 50MP sensor.
The Skyline 2 will be offered in three colors: blue, black, and yellow. Its design will remain similar to the original Skyline, maintaining a familiar look for existing users.
While the release date has not been confirmed, the Skyline 2 is expected to arrive soon. The device aims to build on the foundation set by its predecessor, with incremental improvements in performance and camera technology.
