Mark Zuckerberg, the founder and CEO of Meta, recently unveiled the upcoming virtual and mixed reality headset called Quest 3. Set to launch later this year, the Quest 3 boasts a starting price of $499.99 for the 128GB version, with the option to add additional storage for more space, as announced in a blog post on Thursday. This advanced headset offers high resolution, impressive performance, Meta Reality technology, and a sleeker, more comfortable design. Equipped with a next-generation Snapdragon chipset, the Quest 3 delivers over double the graphical performance of its predecessor, Quest 2. Meta Reality technology seamlessly blends the real world with the virtual world, creating an immersive experience.
The Quest 3 is compatible with the extensive catalog of over 500 VR games, applications, and experiences available on Quest 2. Moreover, users can look forward to the release of even more exciting VR and MR titles. Starting from June 4, Meta will also be reducing the price of the Quest 2, offering the 128GB SKU for $299.99 and the 256GB SKU for $349.99. Both the Quest 2 and Quest Pro will continue to be available alongside the Quest 3, and Meta remains committed to improving the Quest experience through software updates.
