Earlier, the smartphone was teased to be launched in Q3 (probably in August), but now the expected launch date has also been confirmed, which is said to be August 29. According to one of the trusted tipsters Max Jambor, OnePlus’ this upcoming smartphone can launch globally on the rumored data.
It anticipated that the OnePlus Open (or the OnePlus V Fold) would feature a 6.3-in AMOLED 120Hz outer display and a 7.8-inch 2K AMOLED inner display. The OnePlus Open is likely to be powered by the Snapdragon 8Gen 2 chipset and feature 16GB RAM, 256GB storage, and Android 13-based OxygenOS 13.1.
The upcoming handset from OnePlus may pack a triple camera setup, including a 50-megapixel primary sensor with OIS, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide, and a 32-megapixel sensor at the rear side. In comparison, this OnePlus mobile will have dual 32-megapixel front-facing selfie cameras. The smartphone will sport a circular center-aligned camera module, according to leaked images.
Recent leaks also suggest that smartphones can be backed by periscope lenses that are claimed to capture high-quality zoomed-in images without losing quality and creating noise.
OnePlus’ first foldable smartphone, probably the OnePlus Open, can be launched in three color options, black, green, and gold.
