OnePlus will be launching a new smartwatch called "It's about time," with reports indicating that it would debut on February 26 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, though official confirmation has yet to be issued.
Max Jambor, a tech tipster, originally pointed to the OnePlus Watch 2's MWC 2024 launch, but now predicts a February 26th launch date. OnePlus has shared a teaser image on its community site, urging users to identify the device's identity, with a deadline of February 26th in India. The contest is available to participants from India, North America, and Europe, showing possible availability.
The OnePlus Watch 2 is believed to include a circular dial with a bulge on the right side for two buttons, a speaker grille on the opposite side, and health tracking sensors on the bottom. It is rumored to have a thick bezel surrounding its 1.43-inch AMOLED display with bright colors and excellent images.
Leaked photographs show a sleek OnePlus Watch 2 frame with superior build quality, but information about the materials and band are unclear. The strapping system is similar to Apple watches, signifying a comfortable and secure device use.
The OnePlus Watch 2 will be accessible in black and light grey, with a Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 SoC for smooth performance and capabilities such as GPS and 5ATM+ IP68 dust and water resistance for outdoor activities.
The operating system, WearOS, for the OnePlus Watch 2 remains unknown because to the strong Snapdragon CPU, but the formal reveal is likely to confirm this, so stay tuned for developments.
