Realme, the popular smartphone brand, is all set to launch its flagship device, the Realme 12 Pro+ 5G, in India on January 29th, 2024, at 12 pm IST. This device is the successor to the Realme 11 Pro+, released in 2023.

Display and Design

The Realme 12 Pro+ 5G is expected to feature a stunning 6.7-inch curved-edge full-HD+ AMOLED display. The display boasts a 120Hz refresh rate and includes a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. The phone will showcase a distinctive circular camera module at the back, accentuated by a golden dial. It will be available in three stylish color options: Explorer Red, Navigator Beige, and Submarine Blue.

Camera Capabilities

This flagship device will sport a powerful triple rear camera setup. The primary sensor is a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 with optical image stabilization (OIS). Additionally, a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B periscope telephoto lens with impressive zoom capabilities (3x optical zoom, 6x lossless zoom, and 120x digital zoom) and a 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens complete the camera ensemble. The device also supports 8K video recording and night mode. For selfies, a 32-megapixel front-facing camera is provided.

Performance and Storage

Under the hood, the Realme 12 Pro+ 5G will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC, a 5nm octa-core processor with a peak clock speed of 3.2GHz. It will come with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. The device will run on Android 14 with Realme UI 3.0 layered on top.

Battery and Charging

Equipped with a robust 5,000mAh battery, the Realme 12 Pro+ 5G promises endurance. The device supports 67W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging, as well as reverse wireless charging and power-sharing features.

Additional Features

In terms of features, the Realme 12 Pro+ 5G includes an in-display fingerprint scanner, dual stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos, NFC, and a USB Type-C port.

Pricing and Availability

According to recent leaks, the Realme 12 Pro+ 5G is expected to be priced at Rs. 49,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant and Rs. 54,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant. The smartphone will be available for purchase via Flipkart, Realme's official website, and offline stores.

Competition in the Premium Segment

The Realme 12 Pro+ 5G will enter the competitive premium segment and will contend with other flagship devices like the OnePlus 10 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S22+, and Xiaomi Mi 12.
