That's roughly twice as many pre-orders for the Galaxy S22 as there were last year, demonstrating the high demand for high-end handsets in the nation. It's possible that Samsung's pre-order incentives and freebies swayed the scale in favour of the company.

The Samsung spokesman withheld information regarding pre-order distribution. A Galaxy S23 member typically sells for INR 99,000 ($1,200), which translates to $169 million in income.

The Galaxy S23 series sold in India is put together at Samsung's new large production plant, which is also the biggest in the entire nation.
