The debut of the Galaxy S23 flagships is now over, and attention is turning to Samsung's following most expensive series. Samsung may be abandoning the Galaxy A74 in favour of the Galaxy S23 FE, according to past rumours. If that is the case, the Galaxy A54 might be the most expensive model from the A series this year.
The entire future phone, including renders and specifications, has already been revealed. Now that the Galaxy A54's debut date has been made public by Samsung, it can be confirmed that the Galaxy A34 will also be released on March 16 at noon.
The two devices are also given some hazy explanations in the announcement. Both smartphones will have minimum bezels, a "clean camera configuration," and a "premium glass finish," and they will be produced in India.
The phrase "clean camera layout" alludes to Samsung's apparent efforts to unify its lineup's designs. Teasers reveal that the Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A34 have copied the Galaxy S23 series' simple camera setup. A glass finish is also unusual at the moment because the Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A33 from the previous year had plastic backs.
Also, according to Samsung, the Galaxy A smartphones will include "no-shake cam and Nightography for blur-free, low-light photographs."
Putting official facts aside, leaked specifications show that the Exynos 1380 chipset will power the Galaxy A54. It will have a 32MP front camera in addition to a 50MP + 12MP + 5MP rear camera configuration. The 6.4-inch display has a refresh rate of 120Hz.
The larger, more reasonably priced Galaxy A34 has a 6.7-inch 90Hz display and is powered by the Dimensity 1080. The front camera is a 13MP sensor, and the back cameras are 48MP + 8MP + 5MP.
Both devices have 5,000mAh batteries that charge at a 25W rate and boot directly into One UI 5.x, which is based on Android 13.
Note that the budget-friendly Galaxy A14 and Galaxy A23, which were introduced in January, were the first A series smartphones to ship this year before the Galaxy A54 and A34.
