Samsung has brought another surprise with its Android rollout program! Over the past few weeks, Samsung has been busy rolling out the Android 13-based One UI 5 update for the Galaxy S22 series worldwide. Samsung didn't announce any official rollout plans for its other devices, but the previous Galaxy S series devices and Galaxy Foldables were expected to get the new versions first. But Samsung surprised customers with an update to the Galaxy A53.

Yes, the 2022 Galaxy A53 will get the Android 13 update sooner than some Galaxy S and Galaxy foldable devices. We tested the phone earlier this year and found it to be decent, albeit in a very expensive price range.

The update is currently only available in the Netherlands. Samsung has yet to announce plans for expansion in other regions, including India. Therefore, customers in other countries should wait for the official release of the One UI 5 update. One UI 5.0 package size is 2020 MB. As part of the update, your phone will receive updates for all major Samsung apps and will also offer the October 2022 security update.

As part of the One UI 5 update, the Samsung Galaxy A53 gets new lock screen customizations, smarter app and widget recommendations, and more. Samsung is also introducing Modes, it's a feature similar to Apple iOS 16's focus mode that changes the settings on the device based on the time of day. The One Ul 5 interface is also different from before, with a revamped settings menu and a new notification bar interface.

Samsung is now one of the first few manufacturers to provide most of its mass-market devices with its Android 13 update after Google Pixel devices received its August 2022 update. Other Android makers have yet to release a stable build of their Android 13 on devices.
