Vivo X Fold 6 Launched in India at Rs 2,19,999: Sale Oct 13.

If you've been waiting for Vivo's next foldable, the wait is almost over. The X Fold 6 has landed in India at Rs 2,19,999. Bookings open today, and the phone goes on sale on October 13.

Key Highlights

  • Vivo X Fold 6 launched in India at Rs 2,19,999, roughly Rs 70,000 more than the X Fold 5's launch price of around Rs 1.5 lakh.
  •  Bookings started from today (October 6) and the sale will begin from October 13.
  •  8.02-inch foldable AMOLED inner screen (up to 120Hz) and a 6.51-inch AMOLED cover display.
  •  It has 200MP main sensor (OIS), 50MP ultra-wide and 50MP periscope telephoto, plus 20MP selfie cameras on both screens.
  • 7,000mAh, large for a foldable.

Premium Phone, Premium Price Tag

This is a massive jump. Last year's X Fold 5 launched at around Rs 1.5 lakh, which means the new model asks for roughly Rs 70,000 more. Tipsters had been hinting at a price above Rs 1.5 lakh and an Italian retailer's listing which worked out to about ₹2.21 lakh which might sound expensive.

It also gives a good competition to Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 7 which starts at Rs 1,74,999.

Key Features

The X Fold 6 first showed up in China in June at CNY 7,999, roughly Rs 1.11 lakh. Here's what the China-market version brings, and what Indian buyers can reasonably expect:

  • Displays: Open it up and you get an 8.02-inch foldable AMOLED screen running at up to 120Hz. On the outside is a 6.51-inch AMOLED cover display. It's also rated IP58 and IP59 so a bit of dust or water shouldn't ruin your day.
  • Cameras: Vivo has joined hands with ZEISS again. It has a 200MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide and a 50MP periscope telephoto. For selfies and video calls both screens get a 20MP camera.
  • Battery: A 7,000mAh cell which is unusually big for a foldable which is a big point for a phone to become popular.
  • Processor: A MediaTek Dimensity 9000-series chip gives power to the phone also continuing Vivo's partnership with MediaTek.

Why this launch matters

Vivo stepped into India's foldable space with the X Fold 3 Pro in 2024 and followed up with the X Fold 5 in 2025. The X Fold 6 keeps that yearly rhythm going. This time, although Vivo is making a bolder bet: that people who want a foldable will pay more for a better camera and a battery that lasts. It will go up against Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold lineup and Motorola's Razr Fold in what is still a small but fiercely competitive corner of the market.
