The phone is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 SoC while the base model, Vivo X90 might feature a Dimensity 9200 SoC (to know more about the Dimensity 9200 click here). The phone is rumoured to have a Sony IMX989 sensor and support up to 100x zoom.

Vivo recently detailed a camera upgrade for the X90 series. The smartphone's light sensitivity is said to be 77% better than the 1/1.3-inch Samsung ISOCELL GNV, with a 1-inch sensor size. It also says that the phone will have a super-sensing portrait system and that Vivo and Zeiss have developed a new 50mm portrait lens.

As for the telephoto lens, Vivo's next-generation flagship will feature a 5x zoom lens, which improves recording resolution by up to 64%. The new "Sky Night View System" uses a unique AI algorithm and an improved lens sensor to increase image sensitivity by 100%, supports up to ISO 102400, and enables long exposures without a tripod or stabilizer. Also, handheld devices now allow users to photograph the starry sky.
