​Xiaomi has officially launched the Redmi Watch 6 Active in China. The smartwatch is now available on Xiaomi's online store for CNY 349, which is about $51. Customers can choose from three color options: Gunmetal, Pink Orange, and Silver.

The Redmi Watch 6 Active features a 1.85-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 390x450 pixels. The screen offers a peak brightness of 1,200 nits, making it easy to view in various lighting conditions. The watch case is made of plastic and has a thickness of 9.9mm. It weighs 26 grams without the strap, making it lightweight for daily wear.

The smartwatch is powered by a 470 mAh battery. Xiaomi claims the battery can last up to six days with the Always-on display enabled. Without Always-on display, the battery life extends to twelve days. In power-saving mode, users can expect up to 18 days of use on a single charge.

The Redmi Watch 6 Active supports Bluetooth 5.3 and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) for connectivity. It is compatible with devices running Android 8.0 or later and iOS 14.0 or later. The watch is rated IP68 for dust and water resistance, making it suitable for everyday use and workouts.

Health and Fitness Tracking

The smartwatch includes an accelerometer and a heart rate monitor. The heart rate sensor also supports blood oxygen (SpO2) tracking. Users can monitor their sleep, stress levels, and calories burned throughout the day. The device offers over 140 sports modes, catering to a wide range of fitness activities.

Additional features include breathing and relaxation exercises, which can help users manage stress. The Redmi Watch 6 Active also supports Bluetooth calling, allowing users to make and receive calls directly from the watch.

Availability and Future Plans

The Redmi Watch 6 Active is currently available in China. Based on recent leaks, the smartwatch is expected to launch in Europe soon. Xiaomi has not yet confirmed the exact release date for other markets.
