The Lenovo LOQ 15 is a flexible tablet appropriate for gaming and professional environments, although its 2.3 kg weight may limit portability. The laptop's large size and 230W charging brick may make it less portable, although these may not be serious issues for fixed settings.

The laptop is sleek and modern, with a gray color scheme and an RGB-lit keyboard. It has USB Type-A, Ethernet, HDMI 2.1, and charging connectors on the back panel. The charging port is positioned in the rear, which may be a slight nuisance for gamers but is not a major concern.

The Lenovo LOQ 15 laptop adds extra USB Type-A, USB Type-C, and headphone connections on the right side, as well as a webcam shutter button for simple webcam operation. This convenient positioning allows you to easily connect gaming devices or headphones to your laptop.

The laptop includes a 180-degree hinge for versatility, allowing you to utilize it as a flat gaming desktop or an extra display. Its sleek design is free of smudges, giving a comfortable viewing experience and a clean surface.

It has a 15.6-inch full HD IPS display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 300 nits peak brightness, which provides a satisfactory visual experience, particularly for gaming, and handles favorite titles without any difficulties.

Performance and Keyboard

The Lenovo LOQ 15 is a powerful laptop equipped with an Intel Core i7-14700HX CPU, 20 cores and 28 threads, with a maximum boost clock speed of 5.5GHz. It is capable of handling tough duties, however extended usage may result in noise and heat.

The laptop features Nvidia's RTX 4060 GPU, 8GB GDDR6 RAM, and a TGP rating of 115W, ensuring strong performance for gaming and graphics-intensive applications.

It is a multipurpose laptop that can run intensive games like The Witcher 3 Remastered in the background while also performing office tasks on Google Chrome. It takes around a second to restore the game or Chrome screen and has four performance modes: Performance, Balance, Silent, and Custom, with the user favoring Balance.

The Lenovo LOQ 15 laptop's speakers are suitable but might be louder. The webcam is basic, thus it is advised to utilize an extra camera for better gaming video streaming.

The Lenovo LOQ 15 keyboard provides a fluid typing experience while highlighting secondary characters for convenient usage in low-light environments. The trackpad is large and sensitive, ensuring a comfortable and efficient user experience for work or pleasure. The keyboard and trackpad combo provide a pleasant and efficient user experience, making it suitable for both work and gaming.

Gaming Experience and Battery

Forza Horizon 4 on the Lenovo LOQ 15 provides an aesthetically pleasing and detailed gaming experience. Frame rates range from 170-200 FPS with Ultra graphics settings, to 280 FPS with Medium graphics settings. The game works flawlessly, creating an immersive and fun gaming experience.

Forza Horizon 4 and Doom Eternal have differing frame rates; Forza Horizon 4 has greater frame rates when the laptop is plugged in, whilst Doom Eternal has higher FPS when the graphical settings are reduced.

Helldivers, on the other hand, has a lower frame rate and a minor latency, making it less suitable for first-person shooters. Lowering the graphical settings enhances the user experience.

The Witcher 3 Remastered and Resident Evil Village on a laptop delivered smooth FPS ranging from 50-55 to 50-60 at medium visual settings, with lower settings increasing the gameplay experience to 144.

The Lenovo LOQ 15 has a good battery life of 4 hours in power-saving mode, however it depletes faster in performance mode due to increased brightness and keyboard backlighting.

Its battery drains quickly while gaming, going from 100% to 30% in 35 minutes, thus it's critical to keep the laptop plugged in.

Conclusion:

Its elegant appearance, outstanding performance, and enjoyable gaming experience make it an economical choice. Despite its weight and charging size, it provides smooth gaming for a variety of titles, with an excellent keyboard, trackpad, and display.

The Lenovo LOQ 15 is a good option for casual gamers for Rs 1,19,000. However, its battery life, speakers, and camera may be minor inconveniences for people on the go.
