Realme has introduced two new mobiles to its 10 series: the Realme 10 Pro and Realme 10 Pro Plus. In this review, we shall concentrate on the Realme 10 Pro Plus. For the price, the phone offers a lot.
It starts off with a big 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chipset delivers strong performance when combined with up to 12GB of RAM. There is a sizable 5000mAh battery with 67W rapid charging, so the story isn't over yet.
Realme 10 Pro Plus Price in India Realme 10 Pro Plus price in India starts from Rs. 24999 for the base model with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage option. There are higher models available for more price. Three colour options—Black, Starlight, and Ocean Color—will be offered for the phone.
Let's begin the Realme 10 Pro Plus review by discussing the build quality and design. The phone has an excellent initial impression. For the review, we have the Hyperspace Gold choice. The rear of the phone has a shimmering surface and star-shaped dust particles. It illuminates vividly when exposed to light.
Yes, the glossy back will make fingerprints stick to it and you'll need to continuously wipe them off. I'll leave that to you as I personally don't like this shiny and glossy finish, even if it varies from person to person. There are two camera modules that have a little protrusion on the upper left.
But be aware that this shining, glittering back panel is made of plastic. Even if it could appear pricey to certain eyes, it is not when it is touched with the hands. To reduce abrasion to the palms, the frame is made of plastic and features rounded corners and curved edges.
The phone has a good design overall and doesn't appear heavy while having a big screen and battery. However, Realme has cut corners by using plastic structures.
The display on the Realme 10 Pro Plus is when things really get heated up. Its large FHD+ 6.7-inch curved AMOLED panel features a refresh rate of 120Hz. It also boasts a max brightness of 800 nits.
In all honesty, this smartphone is not as bright as other smartphones in its price range that provide a brightness of 1000 nits or more. Still, there was more than enough light for both inside and outdoor use. You could observe that it appears a little darker in direct sunshine, but the content on the screen is still completely legible.
In terms of display quality, it is sharp, bright, and colourful. Because of the super AMOLED display, the blacks are rich. I really enjoyed watching movies on YouTube and playing games there because of the excellent viewing angles. Additionally, the 120Hz refresh rate makes everything exceptionally buttery and smooth.
I took some time to go through my Instagram and Twitter accounts, and I must say that I had an excellent time. In general, Realme did a good job with the display, and there aren't many issues. Just make the screen a little bit brighter, please.
Users haven't been let down by Realme when it comes to performance. It has a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 CPU, 256GB of internal UFS 2.2 storage, and up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM. Daily performance is respectable, and I didn't notice any noticeable lags or shutters.
The high refresh rate display makes everything run more smoothly. Effective RAM management allowed the apps to run in the background for a lot longer than I had anticipated. You have the choice to instal an additional 3GB of RAM by using internal storage. In truth, daily living doesn't really differ that much.
The next step was that apps opened quickly and multitasking was simple. I was able to seamlessly transition between several programmes with ease.
It's great to see that the Realme 10 Pro Plus ships with Android 13 out of the box with ReameUI 4.0. Realme has advanced compared to other manufacturers who continue to release smartphones using Android 12.
On the back of the Realme 10 Pro Plus, there is a triple camera setup. Included are a 108MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. A 16MP camera for selfies and video calls is visible when you turn to the front.
If megapixel count is the only factor that matters, Realme's camera resolution has increased dramatically from 50MP on the Realme 9 Pro Plus to 108MP on the 10 Pro Plus. Keep in mind, too, that the 50MP camera on the 9 Pro Plus had OIS, which is not offered here. The images will occasionally be a little bit more detailed.
In terms of camera quality, the primary camera captures images well in direct sunlight. The colours appeared vibrant, and the visuals were sharp and detailed. Additionally great was the dynamic range, and the final images looked good.
Low-light photography produced merely ordinary results. The absence of OIS causes a lot of noise to infiltrate the images.
Good photographs with a wide field of view are produced with the 8MP ultra-wide lens. The photographs were still decent, though not as sharp and detailed as with the primary lens. The colours had a strong dynamic range and were stunning.
Why Realme chose to use a 2MP macro lens with low quality is beyond me. To be completely honest, it is useless to discuss. If there is enough light and your hands are extremely stable, you might be able to shoot some images that are usable.
The 16MP selfie camera takes good-looking selfies in broad daylight. I took a tonne of sharp and focused selfies. The skin tones were decent, if not the finest.
The Realme 10 Pro's large 5000 mAh battery is an improvement over the 4500 mAh battery of the 9 Pro Plus from the previous year. Light users can receive roughly two days of battery backup when it comes to battery life, however, heavy users would need to plug in the charger by the end of the day.
I watched television for nearly six hours, which is not awful. I used it for calling, watching YouTube videos, taking pictures, playing games, and going through my Instagram feed. Almost everything you do every day will be like this.
Realme has once more amazed me with its capabilities for 67W rapid charging. In less than an hour, the phone charges from zero to 100%. The battery may be charged quickly (20–25 minutes) to roughly 50% capacity.
On paper, the Realme 10 Pro Plus appears to be a reliable phone with a tonne of features and specifications that are often found on an upper mid-range phone. I appreciated the quality of the curved display and how well it worked with the 120Hz refresh rate to provide me with a good user experience.
The phone doesn't lag behind in routine operations thanks to the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chipset. You won't have to wait too long to use your phone again thanks to the large battery and 67W quick charging.
The Realme 10 Pro Plus can be described as a game-changer in light of all these upgrades if it is released in India at the appropriate pricing.
