In the March 2023 quarter, Bharti Airtel's capital expenditure in India surged over two-fold to reach Rs 8,989.4 crore compared to Rs 4,276.7 crore in the previous year. The majority of the capital expenditure, amounting to Rs 6,647.1 crore, was allocated to the mobile business as the company continues to build out its 5G network across India. With the highest industry Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) of Rs 193, Bharti Airtel recorded a net profit of Rs 8,346 crore in the fiscal year ending March 31, 2023, nearly doubling its previous year's profit. The company's consolidated revenue from operations for 2022-23 is expected to grow by 19.3% to Rs 1,39,144.8 crore from Rs 1,16,546.9 crore in 2021-22.
