The MacBook Pro 14-inch and 16-inch models from 2023, as well as the Mac mini with the new Apple M2 Pro and M2 Max processors, were all shown by Apple today.
The M2 Pro and M2 Max processors, which promise up to 20% higher CPU performance and 30% faster GPU performance compared to the M1 variations of the previous generation, are now available for the MacBook Pro 14-inch and 16-inch models. Apple offers three pre-configured configuration options for each of the two sizes, or you can customise any of the options to have virtually any processor, memory, and storage configuration you choose.
There are two choices available here for the M2 Pro and M2 Max, respectively. The M2 Pro is available with either a 12-core CPU and 19-core GPU or a 10-core CPU and 16-core GPU. While the M2 Max is available in either 12-core CPU and 30-core GPU or 12-core CPU and 38-core GPU configurations.
The upgraded unified memory configurations that come with the new processors include 16GB and 32GB options for the M2 Pro and 32GB, 64GB, and 96GB options for the M2 Max. The built-in flash storage can be set up to be anything from 512GB to 8TB. The cheapest model comes with 512GB of storage and 16GB of RAM as standard.
The battery life of the 2023 models has also been improved by the new processors; the 14-inch model can play videos for 18 hours and allow for 12 hours of wireless web surfing, while the 16-inch model can play videos for 22 hours and allow for 15 hours of wireless web browsing.
The MacBook Pro versions now have better networking possibilities as well. Additionally, HDMI has been updated to the 2.1 standards, supporting up to 8K at 60Hz and 4K at 240Hz, and Wi-Fi 6E has been included for speedier wireless access.
The 14” MacBook Pro price in India starts from Rs 199900 and goes to Rs 389900 for the fully decked version.
On the other hand, the 16” MacBook Pro price in India starts from Rs 249900 and goes to an absurd amount of Rs 649900 for the fully specced version.
