According to an industry report, the foldable OLED display panels - despite having a narrow market size - are more profitable for display makers than OLED foldable displays for smartphones. Both LG and Samsung are coordinating to design and develop foldable display panels, as the market will likely grow in the coming years.

While many companies have launched foldable laptops, Apple hasn't updated its portfolio in this segment. Currently, buyers have ThinkPad X1 Fold by Lenevo and Zenbook 17 Fold by Asus. By 2026, Apple customers will also have the option to buy a foldable Macbook from the company, which is anticipated to be unveiled in 2025.

The report underlines that the upcoming foldable laptop from Apple would have a 20.25-inch unfolded screen.

Samsung and Google have launched their foldable smartphones, while it's expected that Apple can coordinate with companies like Samsung to design and develop its next-generation foldable screen laptop. Based on rumors, the company is also planning to launch its foldable smartphone, foldable-screen iPhones. However, whether a foldable iPhone or Macbook will be launched first is yet to be confirmed.
