Apple's long-rumored HomePod with a screen could launch on October 13, says Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. Code-named J490, it's expected to anchor Apple's smart home plans, with a new Apple TV 4K arriving alongside it.
The 6-inch display is fitted on a moveable metal arm above a round metal base that holds the speakers and microphones. A thinner wall-mounted version is also expected. It needs to stay plugged in, and gray aluminium is reportedly the only launch finish.

The updated Siri AI can now handle conversations and the basic home commands in a better way. With its features like voice and facial recognition, the HomePod could tell who's talking and make the responses for each family member. Final features, languages and availability will depend on Apple's software.
The new Apple TV 4K is expected at the same event, a notable upgrade after the 2022 model.
