Apple Unveils iPhone 16 Series

Apple has officially launched its highly anticipated iPhone 16 series at the Glowtime event, unveiling four distinct models: iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. The new lineup is set to enhance user experience with advanced AI capabilities, upgraded cameras, and larger displays.

The iPhone 16 series is designed to integrate Apple's new generative AI features, aimed at maintaining its competitive edge in the technology market. The base model, iPhone 16, starts at approximately Rs. 65,000 for the 128GB version, with the 256GB variant priced at Rs. 89,900 and the 512GB option at Rs. 1,09,900. The iPhone 16 Plus starts at Rs. 79,900 for 128GB, Rs. 99,900 for 256GB, and Rs. 1,19,900 for 512 GB. The Pro and Pro Max models are expected to be priced higher due to their advanced features.

The iPhone 16 introduces a new vertical camera arrangement, replacing the previous diagonal setup, which is designed to enhance spatial video capture. This model also includes a new physical camera button for easier control and a Camera Control button for quick access to camera functions. The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max feature Apple’s largest screens yet, with the Pro offering a 6.3-inch display and the Pro Max at an impressive 6.9 inches. Both models include the advanced Always-On 120Hz ProMotion display technology, providing smoother visuals. The Pro model supports 4K video recording at 120 frames per second and includes a 48MP ultra-wide camera. The Pro Max stands out with the best battery life ever seen in an iPhone.

All four models will be available for pre-order starting September 13, with sales commencing on September 20. Color options for the new iPhones include Black, White, Pink, Teal, and Ultramarine. Apple’s latest AI features, branded as Apple Intelligence, will begin rolling out in the US next month and will gradually be available in other regions.

The iPhone 16 series is powered by the new A18 chipset, which boasts a 30% faster CPU and a 40% faster GPU compared to previous generations. This performance upgrade, coupled with the new camera and display technologies, positions the iPhone 16 series as a significant step forward in Apple’s smartphone lineup.
