Corning Gorilla Glass 7i Launched for Budget and Mid-Range Phones

Corning Incorporated has introduced Gorilla Glass 7i, aimed at enhancing the durability of budget and mid-range smartphones. This new glass technology, first to be used by OPPO, promises superior protection against drops and scratches. Lab tests show Gorilla Glass 7i surviving drops from up to a meter on asphalt-like surfaces, outperforming other lithium aluminosilicate glasses. It is also twice as scratch-resistant as its competitors. Designed for value and intermediate devices, Gorilla Glass 7i signifies the seventh generation of Corning's glass technology, emphasizing "industry-leading innovation" for affordable durability.
