The update consists of 48 security improvements for Android 13 phones and 7 for Samsung's One UI. This update has already been seen on unlocked phones throughout Europe, and it will be available in other launch markets soon. The update is just over 500MB for the S23 and slightly more for the Ultra model, but still under 600MB. As part of Samsung's new update schedule, the S23 series will receive four OS updates and five years of security patches, which means it will get Android 14, 15, 16, and 17, with regular security patches until 2028.
