According to sources cited in a report by 9to5Google, the addition of a larger size variant is a significant update expected in the Pixel Watch lineup. While both sizes are likely to feature the same functionalities, the larger variant could potentially offer a bigger battery to support its larger casing.
This development brings Google in line with its competitors, such as Apple and Samsung, who offer smartwatches in various size options. For instance, the Apple Watch Series 9 is available in both 41mm and 45mm sizes, while the Galaxy Watch 6 comes in 40mm and 44mm variants.
Alongside the Pixel Watch 3, Google is also rumored to be working on the Pixel Buds Pro 2 earphones, succeeding the Pixel Buds Pro launched in 2022. Although details about the Pixel Buds Pro 2 remain scarce, they have reportedly been in development for some time.
The Pixel Watch 2, launched in India in October 2023, already showcased Google's commitment to innovation in the wearable space. Equipped with a Qualcomm 5100 SoC, 3D curved always-on display, 2GB RAM, and 32GB storage, the Pixel Watch 2 ran on Wear OS 4.0 out-of-the-box.
As Google continues to emphasize its dedication to AI technology, the forthcoming Pixel Watch 3 is expected to further integrate advanced features. With AI enhancements across its apps, services, and Android operating system, Google aims to deliver a seamless user experience tailored to modern needs.
Stay tuned for more updates on the Pixel Watch 3 and other Google innovations as the company continues its pursuit of technological advancement.
