Even while there have been concerns that Meta has reduced WhatsApp to nothing more than a social networking site, the business has instead turned it into a remarkable instant cross-platform messaging and calling service.

Users may now follow famous people and news websites using WhatsApp's Channels feature without sharing any sensitive information, such as phone numbers. There is currently no obvious way to opt out of this functionality, even though Meta is now rolling it out for both Android and iOS devices.

To reduce the distraction of WhatsApp channels, you can hide this feature if you find it less useful.

You can still use an older version of WhatsApp without the channels feature if you haven't updated it yet. If the programme has already been updated on Android, you can also back up the chats, remove the most recent version, and install the previous one. Just be certain that the APK you are downloading is coming from a reliable source.
