The Infinix Note 60 Pro has launched in India, entering a competitive market amid rising RAM prices and declining smartphone shipments. Priced at Rs 31,999, the Note 60 Pro aims to stand out with its design, active-matrix display, and feature set.
The Note 60 Pro features a distinctive design with a large camera module spanning the device's width and a metallic outline for a premium look. The phone uses an aluminum frame, while the back is plastic with a matte finish that resists fingerprints. At 7.4mm thick and weighing just over 200 grams, the device feels sleek and manageable in hand. It includes an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance.
A notable addition is the active-matrix display on the back, consisting of 288 LED units. This display can show time, weather, notifications, and custom patterns for contacts. Users can also play simple games and display animated characters. However, visibility in direct sunlight is limited, and app compatibility is currently restricted compared to competitors like the Nothing Phone 4a Pro.
The front features a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, peaking at 4,500 nits brightness. The display supports two color modes and adjustable temperature, providing a solid viewing experience. JBL-branded stereo speakers offer loud audio output, and the device includes eye care and anti-motion sickness modes.
The Note 60 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. Benchmark results show over 1 million on AnTuTu and Geekbench scores of 1,237 (single-core) and 3,311 (multi-core). The device handles multitasking and gaming well, supporting Call of Duty Mobile at up to 120FPS on medium graphics, though frame rates can fluctuate.
The phone includes a 6,500mAh battery, typically lasting more than a day with moderate use. It supports 90W wired and 30W wireless charging, reaching full charge in under an hour. Reverse charging is available at up to 10W via wired connection.
The Note 60 Pro offers a dual rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel main sensor and an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens. The front camera is 13 megapixels. The main camera can record 4K video at 30fps with optical image stabilization, while the ultrawide supports up to 2K at 30fps. The front camera also supports 4K video but lacks stabilization. Camera performance is adequate for most situations, though low-light and portrait shots can be inconsistent.
The device runs XOS 16 based on Android 16, offering customization options, a sidebar, floating windows, and AI features. Infinix promises three years of OS updates and five years of security patches. Users can choose between the Folax assistant or alternatives like Gemini.
The Infinix Note 60 Pro stands out with its design, matrix display, and balanced performance. While it may not excel in every category, it offers a unique experience at its price point, making it a notable option in the current smartphone market.
